Born on 7 September 1965 in Yerevan.
1985 to 1987, served in USSR Armed Forces.
In 1990, graduated from Yerevan Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Institute.
In 2000, defended a PhD thesis and received a PhD degree in Economics.
Has attended economist qualification improvement trainings in Armenia and abroad.
Speaks Armenian, English, and Russian.
Since 1988, has been engaged in entrepreneurial activities together with family members.
1988 to 1991, Chairman of VAGHARSHAPAT Cooperative Venture.
1991 to 1996, Director of Yerevan Package Repair Factory OJSC.
1996 to 1997, Chairman of Package Repair OJSC.
1997 to 1998, member of the Board of Directors of ARMECONOMBANK OJSC.
1998 to 2005, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARMECONOMBANK OJSC.
1999 to present, Deputy Chairman of SIL Group LLC.
2006 to present, Chairman of the Board of ARMECONOMBANK OJSC.
Holds a membership at the Presidium of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
Has been involved and still actively participates in a number of charitable programs and projects.
Has been awarded a Mantashyan Knight silver medal of honor by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival for promoting the development of culture and reaffirming the native traditions of art patronage.
Married, four children.
