Prioritizing the improvement of financial accessibility for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Armeconombank continues to take consistent steps to ensure SME financing within various programs.

The Bank’s next collaboration is with the IRIS Business Incubator. Within the framework of the “IRIS Accelerator and Revolving Fund” initiative, and with the support of the RECONOMY program, the “IRIS RECONOMY Accelerator Program” is being implemented for SMEs operating in the agriculture, agro-production, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The program aims to offer SMEs an alternative and advantageous opportunity for attracting investment resources.

Through a specially designed training curriculum, as well as the support of local and international experts and mentors, participants will gain the necessary toolkit that - tailored to the needs of their company - will help them develop their business expansion, scaling, and/or export strategy and apply to the IRIS BI Revolving Fund.

Within the program, the revolving fund resources will be provided through Armeconombank. By participating in all the main stages, the Bank will assess the viability of the operating business and conduct a creditworthiness evaluation.

Eligible applicants include:

  • registered SMEs operating for at least 1 year,
  • registered SMEs in the growth stage operating for 1–3 years,
  • mature SMEs operating for 3 or more years.

The program encourages applications from SMEs founded, led, or involving in key decision-making roles women, youth, displaced persons, as well as representatives of vulnerable or marginalized communities, including border settlements. Priority will be given to these target groups during the initial selection phase.

During the online information session held on November 28, IRIS RECONOMY Accelerator Program Engagement Expert Natali Nasibyan noted that investment pitch will be applied in Armenia for the first time, providing a valuable experience for participating entrepreneurs.

Speaking about the cooperation with Armeconombank, Executive Director of IRIS Business Incubator Narine Terzyan emphasized: “In selecting a financial partner, our primary objective was to ensure the best conditions for entrepreneurs. After long negotiations, we chose Armeconombank, which not only offered the lowest interest rate but also expressed readiness to work flexibly with entrepreneurs.”

Anna Yeghoyan, head of the Environmental and Social Risk Management Department of Armeconombank, stressing the importance of more than four-year partnership with IRIS Business Incubator, stated: “Our mission is not only to provide financial services but also to offer consulting, support entrepreneurs through mentoring, and contribute to improving their financial literacy. That is why, unlike other similar programs, this time we decided to be involved in all stages of the program, which will allow us to guide participants more effectively, help them make necessary adjustments, and receive the best possible loan terms available in the market today.”

Applications for participation in the program are accepted from November 11, 2025 to January 12, 2026. The hybrid training program, consisting of 9 core online and offline modules, will start on January 19, 2026 and will run until April 30, 2026.
