On September 23–24 of this year, the forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Union of Banks of Armenia took place, in which Armeconombank also participated.

Within the framework of the conference, the Bank’s Head of the Environmental and Social Risk Management Unit, Anna Yeghoyan, attended the panel discussion on the topic “ESG Integration: Towards Sustainable Finance.”

The discussion highlighted the importance of setting sectoral baseline criteria for SMEs, introducing tools to promote green lending, and expanding the green loan portfolio It was also highlighted that continuing to promote and enhance awareness and knowledge about ESG in the sector is essential.

“Our goal is to view ESG not only as a mandatory requirement, but also as an opportunity for business development, where banks act not only as lenders but also as partners and supporters—contributing to the creation of a sustainable and growing economy,” noted Anna Yeghoyan in her speech.

Armeconombank consistently prioritizes ESG principles and will continue, through its activities, to promote their implementation within Armenia’s financial system.
