Creating a secure and reliable digital environment is one of Armeconombank’s primary goals. In pursuit of this objective, the Bank recently participated in the CyberGEN 2025 conference and the subsequent Bug Bounty event organized by the Central Bank of Armenia.
While the conference provided an opportunity to enhance theoretical knowledge, the Bug Bounty offered a valuable chance to apply that knowledge in real-life scenarios. Its goal was to identify potential vulnerabilities in the systems of several financial institutions, thereby preventing their exposure and illegal use by cybercriminals.
Throughout the 48-hour Bug Bounty event, the AEB Mobile and AEB Online systems performed successfully, and the identified shortcomings served as a basis for strengthening their security. This reflects the understanding that there are no perfect systems in the world, and that continuous monitoring is essential to ensure greater safety in case of various types of cyberattacks.
CyberGEN 2025 and the subsequent Bug Bounty event are vivid examples of effective cooperation between the Central Bank of Armenia and Armeconombank, aimed at enhancing customers’ digital protection and ensuring the security of transactions.
Such events play an important role in the development of the cybersecurity field, the exchange of experience, and the strengthening of cybersecurity of financial systems.
The cybersecurity teams demonstrating the highest efficiency during the Bug Bounty event were awarded by Armeconombank.
