Within the framework of corporate social responsibility, Armeconombank continues to promote financial literacy and publicize the culture of reading.
Attaching key importance to passing national values and the Tumanyan heritage down through generations, Armeconombank implemented a series of initiatives on the occasion of Book Giving Day in February 2026. Under the "Book Donation to the Library" initiative, the Bank's team organized a book collection drive aimed at supporting a borderline community library. The Hamlet Atabekyan Secondary School in the borderline Sarigyugh community of the Tavush region was selected as the beneficiary, currently hosting 197 students and a staff of 50.
On June 5, along with the collected books, additional requested literature purchased by Armeconombank was handed over to the school. These resources are particularly vital for targeted, program-based learning with dedicated study groups.
"Enhancing financial literacy and encouraging reading are among the core pillars of Armeconombank's CSR programs. Through this initiative, we aim not only to enrich the daily lives of the students in Sarigyugh but also to build stable foundations for the development of financial literacy and reading habits," noted Arman Tonikyan, Head of the Marketing Department at Armeconombank.
Highlighting the significance of such initiatives, the school's principal, Mesrop Shahnazaryan, expressed his gratitude for the attention shown and the donated books. The school staff noted that students spend a considerable amount of time in the library, and the availability of new and contemporary literature will further stimulate an interest in reading among the youth.
